THE BLAST SLING

 The Blast Sling Bag features a clean, minimalist silhouette that transitions seamlessly from casual street styles to more polished urban environments.

We’ve reviewed smaller sling bags in the past, and they have been quite lacklustre in appearance and feel. However, this is not the case with the Blast Sling. The sling has a nice soft padded feel and is not stiff, so it contours to the body no matter how you carry it. What we really love is the inclusion of three exterior zippered pockets, two of which are recessed.  

Design, Materials, and Aesthetics

• Exterior Fabric: Constructed from a lightweight, high-density ripstop nylon. The fabric gives the bag a subtle matte texture while offering durable water resistance against sudden weather changes. For those unfamiliar with ripstop nylon, it is a highly durable, lightweight, woven fabric characterised by a crosshatch pattern. It is designed to resist tearing and ripping.
• Quick-Access Front Pocket: A shallow but wide pocket. Ideal for small items you need to grab on the fly, like lip balm, transport cards, or mints.
• Front Zippered Compartment: A deep and wide single-zippered pocket. Includes an integrated key leash to keep your keys secure and readily accessible without digging.
• Hidden Anti-Theft Back Pocket: This deep, wide single-zippered pocket is positioned flush against your body and is perfect for safeguarding highly sensitive items like a passport, smartphone, or wallet. There are also four built-in RFID-blocking card slots to secure your IDs and credit cards against digital theft, eliminating the need to carry a standalone wallet.
• Grab Handle: A single grab handle at the top of the bag makes it easy to pick up the bag as an alternative to the straps.
• Adjustable Wide Strap: The strap ranges from 25.5 cm to 120 cm, making it highly adaptable for different body frames. The wider webbing helps distribute weight evenly across the shoulder, preventing the strap from digging in when the bag is fully loaded. The bag can also be removed by unclipping the buckle on the strap rather than over your head if using in the crossbody configuration.
• Colourways: It comes in a curated palette of contemporary neutrals—including Oyster (pictured below), Black, and Shade Blue.
