Japan is one of the must do travel destination for photographers with an abundance of photo opportunities. Not only will you experience amazing history, culture and scenery, during autumn the gardens, temples and parks turn an amazing array of autumn colour hues. On our introductory photography workshop of Japan we will travel using location transport and visit some of the most picturesque locations during our 10 night stay in this wonderful country.

1 night Tokyo on arrival, 2 nights Lake Kawaguchiko, 5 nights in Kyoto & 2 further nights in Tokyo. 10 nights total in 3/4 star hotel/room combination of Japanese and western style. Based on single occupancy. Deduct AU$800 for twin/double occupancy.
Return transfers from airport to hotel/hotel to airport. 7 day Japan Rail Pass, Return bus trip Tokyo/Lake Kawaguchiko/Tokyo. PASMO Card for use on local train, bus or private transport.
All entrance fees to temples, shrine and observation decks are included
PRE/POST & LOCATION PHOTOGRAPHY
Plenty of time for one-on-one and group training. From using your camera, to best settings to use, using filters & composition on location. We also offer pre and post trip assistance.
Also included is a 16 day Data SIM card (no data limit) and a special dinner and show with a Maiko (Geisha).

INSURANCE & VISAS
Travel Insurance is compulsory if attending one of our workshops and is not included in the price. Australian passport holders do not need a VISA to visit Japan. If you will be entering Japan on another passport we suggest you visit https://www.visahq.com to check if a VISA is required. Please Note: Your passport MUST have at least six months remaining validity beyond your departure date.
Price does NOT include, extra nights accommodation, alcoholic beverages, drinks, room service, laundry, extra meals not indicated, gratuities, phone calls, internet, camera, equipment, personal items, gifts, souvenirs and any extra purchases.
Types of shots to expect?
A wide range of photographic opportunities are available. You can expect to capture everything from street, architecture, interiors, cityscapes, night, and landscape images. If you want to capture a diverse range of images then this is the place to be.
Any DSLR, mirrorless or camera that allows you to change and control aperture, shutter, ISO, and focus. A tripod is essential, especially for night/low light shots. Filters are also handy. We suggest a Circular Polarizer (CPL), ND & ND Grad filters if you have them. If you’re not sure what you need, just send us a message. Extra batteries, memory cards, battery/computer chargers, laptop for editing sessions (if applicable). We recommend you back- up your images while travelling so bring a passport external hard drive or laptop. A full list of recommended gear will be sent to you on receipt of deposit.
